What's New in MCMP-PAT

This topic describes the list of changes made to the MCMP-PAT tool.

Version Date Major Changes Comments
4.0 01/01/2010 Added the Import Status report.

Added more elements that are checked for consistency.

Text in the second step in the Importer utility has been updated to reflect the expanded list of certified EHR.

3.3 02/22/2010 Fixed an issue where users with MCMP-PAT versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 with Updater versions 2.x and 1.x are getting an error message if they try to upgrade by clicking 'Yes' in the dialog box that offers them to check for the latest version of MCMP-PAT.

For more information about the issue, read Problem #UP–1 in the Problems and Possible Solutions topic.
Upgrading to version 3.3 is recommended but not required because there are other ways to upgrade MCMP-PAT. If you have version 3.0 of the Updater, you will not encounter the issue described.
3.2 02/05/2010 The user's guide has been updated.
3.1 01/25/2010 Fixed an issue where the visits are not sorted by date in descending order.
3.0 01/13/2010 Changed the item "Skip - Rec. Not Found" in the confirmation elements to "Med. Rec. Not Found". Only the text of the item has changed, the definition and use remain the same.

Changed the item "Skip" in some of the claim-based elements to "Claim Not Found". Only the text of the item has changed, the definition and use remain the same.

Added tooltips to the help buttons of measures. The text "Show measure definition" will appear if you hover the mouse over a measure help button.

Added a Update Claims-based Elements utility to allow users to set the values of some claims-based elements.

Export Data utility now includes columns for warnings and total time.

Rules in checking for inconsistencies in the confirmation element has been updated.

Fixed a bug that limits the number of records in the tab-delimited file (used as source file by the Importer) to no more than 32,767 records.

The main form is now resizable but minimum width and height are imposed.
Starting in version 3.0 we will only use the major and minor version numbers.
2.0.4 02/17/2009 The library files were replaced with the correct version. See the topic on 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib' issue if you are experiencing problems when creating a package, backing up a file, importing data or updating.
2.0.3 02/13/2009 Minor changes to the user guide and other files used by the tool.
2.0.2 02/06/2009
Minor changes to files used by the tool.
2.0.1 01/23/2009

The tool will open baseline databases (databases submitted in the previous collection period) only in read-only mode.  Users would not be able to modify their baseline database with this version of the tool.

Optional comment fields were added in each topic.  There is a maximum of 200 characters for each of these fields.  Empty topic comment fields will not appear in the Summary report.

If you add a reason for marking a visit as invalid, that reason will be made available in the same dropdown list of all users regardless of the patient record they are abstracting.

Several steps were added before a package can be created.  This will give you an opportunity to review the totals and the measures you selected before submitting the database.

The totals report now displays the total number of skipped and unconfirmed records per topic.  The features include more information and warning messages.  It will allow you to view the list of records included in each report.

New rules in checking for consistency were added.  The tool now checks for consistency between DM, HF or CAD confirmation and PC confirmation.

An issue was resolved in which topics PC-1 to PC-8 were not marked as complete even if the user indicated in the Measures form to not abstract them.

Users must upgrade to the latest version to take advantage of the new features.
1.1.6 01/28/2008

Resolved an issue where the DM HbA1c Value text box will not accept zero as a valid value.

1.1.5 10/16/2007 When importing data, the stored values of 1/Yes are overwritten by 0/No values even though the user specified not to overwrite them. This has been fixed in this version. Practices who are importing data into the tool must upgrade to the latest version to prevent the issue described from occurring.
1.1.4 10/04/2007 Modifications were made to the calculations of the totals for PC-1 to PC-8 measures, they are now less restrictive. The Totals report for the PC topics will be affected in this version.

A new column has been added for the list of patients displayed in the List form.  There is now a column with a caption of "Pt Data" which indicates that all topics under a patient have been completed.  This column is next to the "Provider Name" column.
Practices with more than 218 patients under any of the PC topics/measures must upgrade to this version.
1.1.3 09/19/2007 An error may occur when trying to print several summary reports at the same time. A note has been added in the Batch Print Summary form to instruct users how to work around this issue.
