What's New in User's Guide

The table below lists the changes made to the MCMP-PAT User's Guide. Date Changes Made 01/01/2011  Added the Import Status topic. Modified the Certification topic due to expanded list of allowed certified EHR systems. Added notes to the Import Data topic. Added more elements to the Synchronized Elements topic. 02/22/2010 Reformatted and added entries to the Problems and Possible Solutions topic. 02/05/2010 Added version number to data definitions. Also highlighted text that changed since the previous version. Corrected the pre-filled elements table. Pneumonia vaccination was incorrectly marked as a claims-based element. 01/13/2010 All instances of "Skip - Rec. Not Found" were changed to "Med. Rec. Not Found". The new phrase still indicates that the medical record was not found. All instances of "Skip" that refer to a skipped claims-based element has been changed to "Claim Not Found". In the Highlighted Elements topic, a column "May be pre-filled with 'Claim Not Found'?" was added to indicate if the element is filled with "Claim Not Found" if no claim information was found for the claims-based element. Added topics on Start Timer and Update Claims-Based Elements. Added a questions and answer topic about MCMP-PAT. Questions about the process and measures are not in this new topic but may still be accessed in the forum (requires login). Updated the topics on general abstraction guidelines, forum registration, exporting data, importing data, user access, downloading from QualityNet, and uploading to QualityNet. All topics on data definition were updated. 03/05/2009 A section on how to get the latest version of the Updater has been added in the MCMP-PAT Updater topic. A section on how to get around the 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib' issue has been added. 01/30/2009 Screenshots and "how-to" sections were added in the MCMP-PAT Updater topic. The topics "External Utilities > Updater" and "How-To Guides > Update MCMP-PAT Using the Updater" were added as shell topics for the MCMP-PAT Updater topic under "Menus > Help". Some images were resized to prevent them from being cropped when printed. 01/14/2008 Tips for returning MCMP-PAT users were added in the Welcome Page. Instructions on abstracting dates and new qualifier were added in the General Abstraction Guidelines. New instructions were added in the Process Overview topic. The topic Totals report has been revised.  Most of the text from the old Totals report has been moved to the new topic - Totals - Requirements & Counting. Criteria for marking topics as completed or incomplete were added in the Data Status topic. New rules were added in the Synchronized Elements topic. Examples were added to the Import Data topic. The Create Package topic has been updated to reflect the new steps added when creating a package. Screenshots in the topic Elements in GUI have been updated to reflect the most current user interface. Medication lists for DM, CAD and HF have been added.  The data definition topics that refer to these medication lists now directly link to them. The topic on Data Validator that used to be under the Features category has been removed and incorporated under the Check Entries topic.  Sample error and warning messages were also added. Links and footnotes were added and the flowchart has been updated in the Import Overview topic. New sample scenarios were added in the Certification topic. The File Specifications topic was redesigned and more information about the provider number and other columns were added. The PC Denominator Synonyms topic has been added under Measure Data Definition : PC Synonyms. 10/04/2007 There is a new topic on how to update MCMP-PAT manually. A screen shot was added and the text was modified in the Batch Print Summary topic.
