Export Data
 
The list of patients, patient visits and providers in the database can be exported into a tab-delimited file.  The contents of the tab-delimited file can then be loaded into a spreadsheet application like MS Excel or imported into another MCMP-PAT database.  To access this feature, click on Tools Export Data.

Parts
List to Export
Select from this list box the records to export.  If the selected item is Patients, the check boxes under Patient List Options will be available allowing the user to filter the exported patients by topic and add the columns that indicate the patients' topic ranks.

List only patients under these topics
The checkboxes under this option are only available if the selected item is Patients.  These allow the exported patient records to be filtered by topic.  Checking a topic would include all patients ranked under that topic in the exported data.  For example, if only DM patients must be exported, check the Diabetes Mellitus checkbox and uncheck the check boxes from Heart Failure to PC-8 : Pneumo Shot.  At least one topic must be checked for the Patient list to be exported.

Export rank numbers
Checking this option will export additional fields/columns that determine the rank order of the patient in a topic.  The table below lists the additional fields and the topic that they represent:

NOTES
  • Uncheck the "Export rank numbers" option if the exported data is to be imported into another MCMP-PAT database because fields holding rank numbers are not in the import file specifications.
  • Exporting data for the purpose of importing it into another MCMP-PAT database has these limitations:
  • Element values are exported but not the extra information used to track elements imported from a certified EHR.
  • Only comments made in the Demographics tab is exported but comments on each topic are not.
  • Reasons for marking visits invalid are not exported.

Open Notepad
Checking this option will automatically open the exported file using Notepad.

Target File
Specify here the path and filename of the tab-delimited file.  If the target file exists, the user will be asked whether to overwrite it.
