Changing Preferences
 
The Change Preferences dialog box allows users to modify the MCMP-PAT settings to meet individual needs.  These settings are user-level, and the changes only affect the settings of the currently logged on user.  That is, if user 1 changes the background color of the forms, the background color of all other users will not be affected.  These settings are also kept across databases.

The user with an administrator role can change the settings of all users in the User Settings tab.

Patient List
The options in the first tab affect the way the patient list in the main form is displayed.

Option Description
Show patients under these topics Removing the check in a topic will hide the patients who do not belong to that topic in the list.
Sort Patient List By Sets the default field to determine how the list is to be sorted.  The options are last name, and the rank for each topic.  Once set and saved, the patient will be sorted by the selected field every time the user logs on.
Sort Order Sets the default sorting order of the list.
Date of Birth Determines if the birthday of patients should be displayed in the list.




Behavior
Option Description
Error Message If checked, the Errors and Warnings form will be displayed if an error or warning is found before the changes are saved.  This option is checked by default.
Information Source Determines whether to highlight the pre-filled elements to indicate the source of information.  If this option is checked, elements with pre-filled values will be color-coded.  This option is checked by default.




Locations
Option Description
Default Backup Folder Determines the default folder/directory where the backup files will be located.  The default value of this field is "C:\".  It is recommended that the default backup location be set to a shared folder on a secure server.
Proxy This information is used by the updater to connect to the Internet.  If the updater is not able to connect to the Internet and retrieve the latest version of MCMP-PAT, ask the system administrator for this information.
Port Provide this value only if there is a need for a proxy to connect to the Internet.  Ask the system administrator for this information.




Background
Option Description
Image
Determines the image to be used as a background for the forms.
Color Determines the color to be used as a background for the forms.  This will only be visible if the background image is not set.
Preview Shows how the color settings will look like when applied.
Button Color Determines the color of the buttons.
Sample Button Shows how the button will look like based on the selected Button Color.

Makes the settings of all users similar to the current configuration.
