Shortcut Key Description
Ctrl + K Checks the data that has been provided for completeness.   See the topic on checking entries for more information.
Ctrl + L Opens the Lists form where the list of patients, users and providers can be viewed.
Ctrl + M Shows the patient's Summary report.
Ctrl + R Displays the Totals report.
Ctrl + S Saves the changes made.
Ctrl + T Starts/Stops the timer.
Ctrl + 1 Selects the Demographics tab.
Ctrl + 2 Selects the Diabetes Mellitus (DM) tab.
Ctrl + 3 Selects the Heart Failure (HF) tab.
Ctrl + 4 Selects the Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) tab.
Ctrl + 5 Selects the Preventive Care (PC) tab.
F1 Brings up the User's Guide.
F4 If the cursor is on a drop down list element, it expands that element to show all the items.

If the cursor is on a laboratory, BP or visit date, it brings up the calendar.

If the cursor is on the Why Invalid column on a grid, it brings up another form that allows users to enter the reason for marking the visit as invalid.
F5 Expands the list of patients.
F6 Expands the list of patient sort options.
Alt + Underlined Letter The action depends on the control with the underlined letter:
  • Label: sets the focus into a control next to the label
  • Button: activates the button (same effect as clicking the button)
  • Main Menu: pulls down a menu
Enter If the cursor is on one of the disease topics tabs, the Enter key acts like the Tab key.  To force a new line in the Comments field under the Demographics tab, press Ctrl+Enter.

If the cursor is on the grid, it will cause the record to be saved if the required fields were provided.
Tab If the cursor is on one of the disease topics, it sets the focus to the next available control.

If the cursor is on the grid, it will move to the next column.  To move the focus out of the grid press Ctrl+Tab.
Del If the cursor is on an element, the Delete key will deselect the current item from the list.  The item will not be removed it will only be deselected.

If the cursor is on a text box the Delete key will behave as usual.
Esc If the cursor is on an element, it will undo the changes.

If the cursor is on a grid, pressing it once will undo the changes in the current cell.  Pressing it for the second time right after the first one will undo the changes in the entire row.

If a dialog box is on top of the main form, it will close that dialog box without applying the changes or performing the operation.
