To assist Iowa Medicare consumers, IFMC provides a Medicare Consumer HelpLine. Knowledgeable HelpLine representatives are available to answer questions about nursing home, home health, hospital, physician office and other concerns regarding the quality of health care Medicare consumers have received. The HelpLine is staffed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In Iowa the HelpLine telephone number is 1-800-752-7014.
National Medicare Information Hot Line: 1-800-Medicare (1-800-633-4227). This nationwide number is available for your questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
